Part-Time Carpenter Helper

Location: Tallahassee, FL
Position Type: Part-Time
Pay: $17–$22 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Approximately 15–25 hours per week (with opportunity for additional hours as workload increases)

Coyote Custom Builds LLC is a family-owned construction company specializing in custom outdoor living spaces, including pergolas, pavilions, decks, fences, gates, and other residential carpentry projects. We take pride in quality craftsmanship, professionalism, and customer satisfaction.

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Carpenter Helper to assist with residential construction projects. Experience is helpful but not required. We are willing to train the right individual who demonstrates a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist with construction of decks, pergolas, fences, gates, and related projects

• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment

• Maintain a clean and organized job site

• Assist with measuring, layout, and material preparation

• Dig post holes and perform general labor tasks

• Apply paint, stain, and other finishes as directed

• Operate hand and power tools safely after training

• Follow safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment (PPE)

• Assist with job site setup and cleanup

• Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old

• Reliable transportation to and from job sites

• Ability to work outdoors in Florida weather conditions

• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds regularly

• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

• Positive attitude and strong work ethic

• Construction or carpentry experience is a plus, but not required

Preferred Skills

Experience with any of the following is helpful:

• Circular saws

• Miter saws

• Drills and impact drivers

• Nail guns

• Ladders

• Trailer loading and unloading

• Painting or staining

• Basic carpentry

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 50 pounds frequently

• Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb throughout the workday

• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions

• Safely climb ladders and perform physical labor
